When war broke out in Ukraine in February 2022, God stirred the heart of one man from County Down, Northern Ireland to help. He planned to fill his van with food and aid, then drive to Poland where millions of Ukrainian people had fled to.
However, a simple phone call to tell a friend about his plans triggered an incredible chain of events, which led to 43 articulated lorries, being sent to Poland less than a week later packed with food and aid. In the 12 months that followed, over half a million pounds was raised to buy food, essential items and generators for people in war-torn areas of Ukraine and refugees seeking shelter in Poland.
This book is an inspiring and touching account of how people came together, from all over Northern Ireland to show God’s love in a very practical way. Within the book there are over 500 photographs that tell the story, bringing the text to life and help the reader appreciate the vast scale of the operation and the impact it made on thousands of lives!
